The Foundation Board met on April 13, 2025. Board discussion focused on the writing of captions for an initial selection of 10 to 20 artworks for exhibition purposes. The selection of artworks for captions is to be completed in June.
The board will also begin to finalize the list of 200 to 250 artworks to be photographed for the publication of the Else Madsen monograph. An initial estimate for this photography work is 30 hours at $200 per hour, for a total cost of $6,000.
The board continues its search for a Danish art historian qualified to write a technical summary of the context and evolution of Else’s works. It was agreed that a qualified person must be identified prior to the preparation of a grant proposal to the NewCarlsberg Foundation.
