The Foundation Board met on January 11, 2026. The board heard reports from Cid Galindo and Joe Arredondo regarding the exhibition prospectus and the discussions with MoDA personnel that led to the approval of an Else Madsen exhibition in 2027, with an emphasis on her travel related artworks. More detailed discussions with MoDA are expected before the end of January with established dates, financial arrangements, preliminary exhibition narrative, and selection of artworks agreed to by April.
The board also discussed the writing of captions for the selected artworks, transportation and framing options for selected artworks, and the general parameters, processes, and costs of preparing a brochure for the exhibition. The board also expressed an interest in arranging a site visit to MoDA’s facility in Elk Horn, Iowa prior to the end of 2026.
